Plot style lost when switching between Line, Line Symbol and Scatter types

For basic plot types: Line, Scatter and Line+Symbol, user can change plot type in Plot Details dialog. When changing plot type, some customization on plot is lost. We tried to keep as many properties as possible.

Note: Instead of changing plot type in Plot Details dialog, user can click Line, Scatter, Line+Symbol toolbar buttons on bottom of workspace to switch plot types as well. But sometimes plot styles lost as well, e.g. line style, dropline, fill color gone.

If selecting multiple groups, e.g. Ctrl+ select g1 and g2 node in Object manager.

• Edge width doesn’t match what user set when gradient fill was enabled

Speed Issue of parallel plot with large data

Make parallel plot is very slow if it is with more than 50000 rows of data. And it is also slowly when you click or export the graph window.

In Origin2023, we add @PPCP=1000. It will be faster than old version. @PPSFP=10000, it will automatically close select feedback when number of lines are over 10000.

1. New a graph and click Draw Data toolbar button to open Graph Annotator dialog

2. Click Start button and add some points, click Worksheet button and click Graph button to active back graph

3. Change Add Data Mode as Append, and click Start button to pick some points

==> A new sheet was created and new picked points are added in the new sheet

The share check box at PD page level for Layer Properties is checked. But when the property such as size of one of the layer titles is changed, the others do not follow.

With X scale to show many points, like 3000 points, red bars would show as black. If you change to line plot to see many bars did not draw at all. It exists for column/bar plot with many data points and border width set to zero.

Want to hide all ticks on axis arrow length

Origin2022b only hide axis begin/end tick if Show=Auto and there is arrow at begin/end. But there could be other tick, Ticks still show in the arrow if arrow is very long. Origin2023 will check length of arrow, not draw any tick in this part of axis.

Objects are attached to the last clicked level but it makes sense for it to be attached to layer level.

Reference Line Wavy and thickness not consistent with Function Plot

Like the following graph with reference line zoom in. The reference line is LTGray and you can see it is not good compared to Blue line and Purple line. Blue is drawn with two end points with line tool, Purple is a function plot of 100 points. A new System Variable : @RLP is added with default value 100. It will make reference line looks better in detail.

MathType breaks usage of AxMath

In Origin, Insert AxMath Object failed to work if MathType v7 is installed.

Workaround:

1. Open Registry Editor.

2. Browse to AxMath's key,

Under it there is a key AutoConvertTo. You will find its value has been set to MathType.

When Bottom1 table row enable Gap Between Subgroups/Subsets and Top1 do not enable, grid lines mismatch and there was no control which will decide the grid line places. A new system variable is introduced: @ATGT to special which table to draw as grid. 0 is auto, 1 is bottom, 2 is top..

Don't generate loose dataset when copy folder in same session

1. Suppose in Folder1, Graph1 plotted by Book1.

2. New a Folder2, then drag Graph1 to Folder2,

3. Copy Folder2, then go to root folder and paste.

==>In the Folder2 2, the Graph1A Legend and axis titles show as Book1A(Loose dataset), which should be the same as Graph1, plotting data from Book1.
