Plot style lost when switching between Line, Line Symbol and Scatter types

For basic plot types: Line, Scatter and Line+Symbol, user can change plot type in Plot Details dialog. When changing plot type, some customization on plot is lost. We tried to keep as many properties as possible.

Note: Instead of changing plot type in Plot Details dialog, user can click Line, Scatter, Line+Symbol toolbar buttons on bottom of workspace to switch plot types as well. But sometimes plot styles lost as well, e.g. line style, dropline, fill color gone.

Crash when using context menu to ungroup multiple groups in Object manager

If selecting multiple groups, e.g. Ctrl+ select g1 and g2 node in Object manager.

Right click and choose Ungroup

When we clip for 3D bars plot, the bars reach much higher than the Z-axis actually goes.

2. select column A~C and plot sankey

3. add legend ==> 1st entry is South Africa, should be USA,. It is not consistent with node order. Node color will use color in increment list in order of Node.

This issue exists from Origin 2020b.

When adding user-defined color blocks in legend,

• Edge width doesn’t match what user set when gradient fill was enabled

• Transparency setting was applied to edge though Transparency for Fill Only is checked.

-->The font size of axis title is changed from 22 to 11

==> The font size of axis label is changed from 18 to 4.5

Speed Issue of parallel plot with large data

Make parallel plot is very slow if it is with more than 50000 rows of data. And it is also slowly when you click or export the graph window.

In Origin2023, we add @PPCP=1000. It will be faster than old version. @PPSFP=10000, it will automatically close select feedback when number of lines are over 10000.

Z axis font in Ternary and Waterfall is different in different computer

1. plot ternary with random XYZ plot

2. change font of Z axis to times new roman

3. save project and open project in other computer (have different font list)

==> Z axis title is not times new roman in other computer

Graph Annotator issues

1. New a graph and click Draw Data toolbar button to open Graph Annotator dialog

2. Click Start button and add some points, click Worksheet button and click Graph button to active back graph

3. Change Add Data Mode as Append, and click Start button to pick some points

==> A new sheet was created and new picked points are added in the new sheet

Now in Origin2023, after Step2, Add Data Mode is disable, and support Symbol Size in the Graph Annotator

Layer Title properties fails to apply to other layers

The share check box at PD page level for Layer Properties is checked. But when the property such as size of one of the layer titles is changed, the others do not follow.

Fixed in Origin2023. We support share layer title(all properties except title content. note dimension should share by % of layer unit).

Column Plot Drawing Issue of very thin bars

With X scale to show many points, like 3000 points, red bars would show as black. If you change to line plot to see many bars did not draw at all. It exists for column/bar plot with many data points and border width set to zero.

1. Plot scatter with XY with column C as ,

2. Open PD, go to subset tab, set subset by column C as category column.

3. Go to centroid tab, enable centroid, select show label (could uncheck connect and ellipse), ok

==> centroid label of 1 4 2 is still show, even with clip data to frame enable.

1. Make Ternary Line plot with multi Y.

==>Group button is not enable. But you can do it via Object Manager.

Rescale Issue with reference line and function plot

1. Make a graph and set some reference line.

2. Click rescale button.

==> Plot become very small with scale change

After the fix, if following condition is met, Origin will consider reference line in rescale, otherwise, Origin will not rescale:

1. The expression is create with plotdata notation to mention source data

2. Constant or the expression produced constant

MathType breaks usage of AxMath

In Origin, Insert AxMath Object failed to work if MathType v7 is installed.

Workaround:

1. Open Registry Editor.

2. Browse to AxMath's key,

Under it there is a key AutoConvertTo. You will find its value has been set to MathType.

Grid lines issue when one axis table row enable Gap Between Subgroups/Subset while other is not

When Bottom1 table row enable Gap Between Subgroups/Subsets and Top1 do not enable, grid lines mismatch and there was no control which will decide the grid line places. A new system variable is introduced: @ATGT to special which table to draw as grid. 0 is auto, 1 is bottom, 2 is top..
