 (ORG-4987)(star)

Origin 9.1 have added Anti-aliasing support for 2D graphs. This allows nicer view of 2D graphs on the monitor.

The images below show screen capture of a 2D line plot with and without anti-aliasing (click to pop up larger image):

Global control

We support anti-aliasing for plots, axes and grid lines, and line objects. User can enable/disable each on Graph tab of Tools: Options dialog.

Turn Anti-Aliasing On

By default anti-aliasing isn't turned on for 2D graphs since it may slow some operations down, such as zooming, panning, etc. For those enabled on Tools: Options dialog, user can click  button on Graphs toolbar to turn it on for the active graph.
