ORG-27047	Bar Plot Pattern and Page Size issue	Open 5_Br_I.opju (attached to ORG-27047) For Graph6, right-click>Fit Page to Layers…>default settings ==>Page dimensions go from 15.01x23.57 to 1681x1690 Fixed in Origin2024
ORG-27042	Origin crashes when inserting svg map	New a graph then choose Insert: Image from File menu. Open some special SVG Map. ==> Origin crashes. Fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-27029	Virtual Matrix Manager open from plotvm should list all vm	Highlight some data in worksheet then plot heatmap by menu for example. In plotvm dialog, click the fly-out button after input and choose the Select Virtual Matrix context menu. ==> Not all VM in the project is listed. Fixed in Origin 2024.

ORG-27270	Colormap surface disappear issue	The surface is not displayed if we make the graph with "Set Column values with normal random numbers" that includes "-" values. Fixed in Origin2024.

ORG-27089	Data highlighter fail to work well with histogram graph	Make a histogram graph. In data tab of plot details dialog, turn off automatic binning and select number of bins. Use Data highlight select the bin. ==>wrong bins are selected. Set data height as other type except count in data tab of plot details dialog. use data highlight to select bin. ==>wrong bin is selected, and speed is slower Fixed in Origin2024

ORG-27546	Fail to change color and transparency when select multiple planes in additional plane dialog	make a 3D scatter plot. Open PD, go to plane tab, click … button Check show, set position as At Position=0.2, click add button uncheck show in 2nd plane. Select both 1st and 2nd plane, try change color and transparency, click ok. Click … button to open additional plane dialog again. ==>color and transparency are not changed in both plane. Fixed in Origin2024
ORG-27515	some Data Point Tooltip Settings fail to save to Default	In the past, when save <default> theme for Data Point Tooltip dialog, according to ORG-18798 S1, only row element and style related properties will be saved,other such as column content in table, Type, Source(Source affect checkbox), Prefix, Suffix will not be saved. Begin with Origin2024, all settings can be saved to <default> theme.
ORG-27244	Fail to filter menu in data slicer panel on graph window	In the past, when source data is changed, data filter in data slicer panel will not update accordingly. Example: New a worksheet, import Categorical Data.dat under samples Graphing folder, make scatter plot with col(B). Select some range with data highlighter tool, Add category “B“ by Create Categories button in mini toolbar. Add filter to categories group column in worksheet, go to graph, add data slicer by page mini toolbar. Select other range, click create categories button in mini toolbar and create category “B”. click data filter in data slicer to show filter menu. ==>only ”A” and “undefined“ are shown, “B“ is not shown Origin provide two way to force to update filter since Origin2024. “Update Filter” context menu in data slicer panel page -fd 1;

ORG-27764	Common Display does not work for Axis Table settings	Open the attached test_grid_heatmap.oggu. Please note that the graph has turned on common display( Layers tab of PD dialog) Double click on the Y axis of a layer to open the axis dialog, in the Tick Labels > Table tab, select Enable check box and set Number of Rows = 2 ==> The axis table of other layers on graph won’t be turned on. Note: Common display won’t work for all the settings in the Table tab of axis dialog Fixed in Origin2024

ORG-27955	Text Object inplace edit issues	New a text object and type some text, make sure it’s in in-place edit mode. Switch to the other window then switch back. ==> The text became not visible and showed background from last active window. Fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-21469	Show Color palette button on Colormapped Line Series	new worksheet, fill column A with row number, B C D with random data fill units of B C D with 2 5 6, plot 3d waterfall z value color mapping select plot ==> line color button shows, it should be palette button. Otherwise, changing palette in by plot tab will set color to not z value color mapping. Fixed in Origin2024.
ORG-28155	Crash when create pie chart wihout data	1.New a project with an emoty workbook. 2.Highlight for example cells B[2] to B[7] and create a 2D or 3D pie chart. ==> Origin crashed. Fixed in Origin2024

ORG-27985	Centroid Label Disapears with Specific Data Label on	Make a scatter plot. Open Plot Details dialog. Go to Centroid tab. Check Show Centroid Point for Subset and check Show Label. Go to Labels tab. Enable Data Labels, and set show at specified points only to 0. ==>The centroid label is gone. Fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-27902	Origin hangs when edit certain graph object with LaTeX string	Open some specific opj. Right click on Y axis title and select Properties to open dialog. Highlight texts below and try to press Delete key. ==> Origin hangs for several minutes. Fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-27886	Transparency for fill only should be ignored when Auto transparent is checked	Make a network plot. Open plot details dialog, activate symbol tab. Check auto transparent. Transparency for fill only is gray out. transparency become 70% click apply. ==>symbol edge is not 70% transparency,which means transparency for fill only is still working.

ORG-27845	Axis Break on Contour Plot Doesn't Show White Separator Box	New a wks and add one more column. Fill all with random numbers. Set Col(C) as Z. Highlight all columns and make a contour plot. Open Y Axis dialog and go to Break tab. Set break number as 1 and click OK. ==> Axis break’s white box could not show.
ORG-27678	Drag to change scale Issues for double Y	fill column A B with Row Number, column C with random data plot double Y (single layer) click left axis, move red indicator to change scale ==> both axes is changed. In Origin 2023b, there are two kinds of position controls Y scale. The center area and corner area which split by 45-degree straight line go thought layer vertex. After this change, each corner control Y will control the related Y only. But if mouse is in center, it still controls both Y.
ORG-27625	Plot Setup: Edit range for matrix plot not works fine	Make a contour plot from a matrix. Choose Graph: Plot Setup menu, in the lower panel, Range column, click the … button In the Range dialog, uncheck Auto checkbox next to the Row To edit box Set Row To value as 9 for example. Click OK. ==> The Row To value is set a 0 automatically.
ORG-27648	Empty Graph when open OGGU for Streamline	Make a streamline plot and save as oggu file. Open the oggu in a new project. ==> The graph is empty.
ORG-27590	Size by Scale should not affect by page size change	Make a scatter plot Open PD, go to symbol tab, set size unit to X scale, set size to 0.9, ok Reopen PD, go to page level, set page size to 5 inch width, ok ==> Symbol size become smaller. When size unit is x scale or y scale, we should not change symbol size when changing page size.
ORG-27499	Line+Symbol plot error for Horizontal Panel Wrapped	For some multi-panel plot with Wrap Panels if Columns/Rows Exceed on, some panel banner could not show correctly.
ORG-27479	Symbol Size could not be smaller than 0.5	Plot a scatter plot with row number, open PD, set symbol size to 0.5, ok Reopen Plot Details, set symbol size unit to x scale, size =0.51, apply → works fine Change size to 0.5 ==> symbol size is very large. I think when symbol size unit is x/y scale, it is ok to allow symbol smaller then 0.5, since it may be not small.
ORG-27786	Legend does not work when displaying symbol only on column graph	Make a column/bar plot. Open Plot Details dialog and go to Display tab. Change Display as Symbol and uncheck Bar. ==> Legend still shows as bar/column.
ORG-27466	Position of Total label of stacked bar chart is not correct	Make a Grouped stacked bar plot. Open Plot Details dialog and go to Stack tab. Select Show Total label on Stacked Column/Bar chek box ==>The position of total number is not correct in the stacked bar chart. It should be on the outside end of the bars.
ORG-27485	Link Axis Length to Scale Mess up Graph Size	Make a contour graph. Select Graph: Exchange X-Y Axes Open Plot Details dialog and go to Size tab. Check Link Axis Length to Scale with Radio 1:1 ==> The graph becomes very small.
ORG-27278	Origin crashes when delete part of group plot's legend after rearrange	New worksheet, add 2 columns, fill all with random data, plot scatter right click legend to uncheck "Show Legend for visible plot only" from legend fly-out Hold CTRL, select the border of legend, and drag to rearrange. Double click the symbol to open PD dialog. Click OK to close it. double click legend to enter edit mode. Select the middle part of legend entry and press Delete key to delete it. ==> Origin crashes.
ORG-27497	Custom Format for Tick Label After Break fails to keep after reopen axis dialog	Make a scatter plot. Open X Axis dialog and go to Break tab. Set Number of Break as 1. Click Details to open Break Details dialog. Go to Tick Label after Break tab. Uncheck Auto. Set Display as Custom. and Set Custom Format as P*3. Click OK and OK to close Axis dialog. Open X Axis dialog and go to Break tab. Open Break Details dialog. Go to Tick Label after Break tab. ==> Custom Format control is gone and Set Decimal Places control shows.
ORG-27273	Xfunction plotbylabel Failed to Set Group from LT When User Header Row Exists	Newa project, import S15-125-03.dat in Samples' Import and Export subfolder. Run LT script plotbylabel iy:=((1,2),(1,3),(1,4)) group:=L template:=mgroups rows:=2 cols:=2 -d; ==> On dialog , the Group by combo was selected as “File Header“, which should be “Long Name“.
ORG-27449	Contour Plot Fill Pattern Fail to Work	1.For some specific contour plot, open Plot Details dialog, under Colormap/Contours tab, click Fill column head. 2. In the Fill dialog. Set the Pattern to Dense. 3.Set Pattern From Color to blue, and To color to red. Click OK. ==> The grid lines are all black, and the colormap is also changed. 4.Reopen Fill dialog. ==> The pattern To color was changed to blue.
ORG-26804	xTick by custom position issue when create graph from template	New a project, fill 2 cols of row numbers in Book1. Highlight them to create a scatter plot. Double click X axis to open dialog, on Scale tab, set Major Ticks' Type combo to be “By Custom Positions“, then fill Position editbox with [Book1]Sheet1!A, click OK. Save the graph as template “abc“. New a project again, create a new workbook, Book2. Fill 2 cols of row numbers in Book2, highlight them, click Plot menu - User Templates - abc. ==> The graph had no ticks or tick labels.
ORG-27389	Error bar are not correct in log scale for specific data	For some specific data, make a scatter plot with error bar Set the Y axis as log10 type ==> The error bar of the first two points are not correct.
ORG-27218	Relative Additional Line should show when 1st line is outside of scale range	New worksheet, fill xyyy with random data, plot vertical drop line Open Plot Details dialog, go to Stack tab, set stack to auto, select custom additional line by relative position, ok Open axis dialog--> note Y from -0.1. Go to grid tab of vertical, set Y=-0.2 for additional line, ok. drop line drop to relative position ==> But additional lines for relative position do not show. If we set Y from -0.2, then lines will show. We should show relative additional line in such case if the relative position is within scale range. This issue exists when we not show additional line outside of axis range from Origin 2022b
ORG-27254	Better Default for statistical charts like bar	Fill some random data in column, highlight it, and choose menu Plot: Statistical: Bar Chart ==>In the past, 1.5 Outlier is used as error bar for the bar chart. The error bar does not make sense for a bar chart.

ORG-27139	Label in Scatter Matrix Fail to Keep Custom Font Size If Matrix Display is Mixed	Make a scatter Matrix plot with system default theme Set matrix display to Mixed and select Pearson’s r. Click OK. Set font size to 48. Select Change parameter to open dialog. Click OK without any change ==> Pearson’s R label’s font size becomes 36 again
ORG-28032	Browser Auto Rescale Y does not work	Make a browser plot. Place cursor in middle of X range and use Z key to zoom in. ==> Auto Rescale Y has been checked in the Browser panel menu, but still the Y axis does not rescale to make use of available space to see each curve clearly. An action menu item has been added: “Rescale - Y Only“, which can be used to force rescaling Y Only. Also added the accelerator key “Ctrl + Shift + R“ to rescale any graph Y only.

ORG-26977	polar graph's axis from/to fail to use date time control when source is date	Make sure the x data is in date format, make a polar graph. double click on angular axis to open axis dialog. ==>in scale tab, Circle Start Value and End Value is not date control like From/To. When Units is Custom, Circle Start Value and End Value should share same control as From/To. For Time data, edit control of Circle Start Value and End Value should also be time value.
ORG-26891	Switch Axis in Reference line dialog fail to apply all settings	New a graph, and double click x axis to open axis dialog Go to reference line tab, open details, add one reference line at x=5 Switch axis in top area, add one reference line at y=5, click apply ==> only y=5 shows Click OK ==> Error message: `No Info or invalid Info property` shows
ORG-27563	Some break settings failed to adjust together for linked axis 1:1	Make a multi-layer plot with linked layer. Click on the axis gap on left side. Click Larger Break Gap mini toolbar button. ==> The linked axis gap on the right doesn’t change. So I need to adjust individually. Same issue with Use Proportional Unit for Auto Break Position. But the axis break symbol, and break length adjusts together.

ORG-27394	Better rescale margin for horizontal straight line plot	Open some specific opju like SPC S chart With Graph14 window active, press Ctrl+R to rescale. ==> the plot is still covered by the layer. (axis dialog rescale margin is 3). System variable @PSRMAX added(Plot Scale Range maximum ratio of whole scale range to using whole scale range) Default 30, set to -1 use old behavior.
ORG-24286	Speed and Speed Mode Issue on Graph with shapefile data	Improve Shapefile Specific Speed Mode. One of them is “Douglas Peucker“, which is present in current Origin’s skip point option (on Drop Lines tab’s Data Point Display Control option). It does not work now probably due to the missing value treatment. Origin 2024 also fix the slowness bug when moving layer that has shapefile plot. For some file containing a line plot with fill area (40,000+ points), it takes a few seconds to move the laer.
ORG-26926	Keep Text Before Legend Entries when reconstruct or update legend	Make a graph plot. Open Properties dialog of Legend. Try to insert some text before the first “\l(“ Click OK to close dialog. Press Ctrl+L to reconstruct the legend. ==> The text before the first ”\l(” is gone.
ORG-27017	Smart Skip Points drawing issues	New a project, open some specific opju. Double click plot on Graph to open Plot Details dialog, go to Drop Lines tab, select “Douglas-Peucker Hull“ from the Smart Skip Method combo, click Apply. ==> Smart hint pops up saying that “Douglas-Peucker Hull skip method failed on the data, please try other methods.“ ==> And the plot did draw many points, no skipping. 3.Close dialog, repeat step 2 for Graph ==> Origin freeze.

ORG-27925	VM analysis lock is not removed if delete source workbook	Plot graph by virtual matrix then do analysis. Delete the source workbook. ==> The lock on analysis result is not removed. Issue existed since Origin 2022b and fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-23941	speed is slower when do batch processing with large files	In old version, speed is slower when batch processing with large files, now speed is much improved for txt file, speed improved 20% for xlsx

ORG-26972	Undo cropping image matrix changes XY values	Import image to matrix then set XY mapping values Add ROI then right click to crop. Press Ctrl+Z to undo. ==> After undo, the XY mapping values is changed. Fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-27460	Origin crashed if multiframes image is renamed after inserted	Insert multi-frames image from file to graph/layout then link the image object. Save then new a project. Change the name/path of the image file in Windows Explorer. Open the saved project. ==> Origin crashes. Issue existed since Origin 2023 and fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-27455	cv2mat: Runtime error for specific GeoTIFF image	Convert large GeoTIFF image to matrix may generate runtime error. Issue existed since Origin 2022b and fixed in Origin 2024.
ORG-27832	Wrong recalculation if save project with img2xyz's result	Saving project with the Extract to XYZ tool and the other analysis lock in project will be broken. Fixed in Origin 2024.

ORG-27252	Excel export: Warning if there are special chars in sheet name	With Book2 active, that has two sheets named G and G, Choose File: Export: Excel. Set Export Sheets: Whole Book. Click OK. Open the xlsx file. ==> Only G sheet shows. G is gone. Fixed in Origin2024. We throw out warning message like `"xxx" sheet name does not satisfy Excel naming rule and is not exported.` The following cases are also updated: Be blank . Contain more than 31 characters. Contain any of the following characters: / \ ? : [ ]* For example, 02/17/2016 would not be a valid worksheet name, but 02-17-2016 would work fine. Begin or end with an apostrophe ('), but they can be used in between text or numbers in a name. Be named "History". This is a reserved word Excel uses internally.

Set the font as Times New Roman in Graph Export Graph2 as EPS file make sure to use build-in font. Open the exported file in Illustrator ==> An error message pops up and said Missing Font is Time New-Roman Keep opening the file in Illustrator and try to update the font. ==>Illustrator supports Times New Roman but the one in Origin calls Time New-Roman. That is why Illustrator treat it as missing font Fixed in Origin2024.
