If categorical data is present in a plot, a new context menu named Add/Update Legend Entries will be available when you right-click on the legend.

Legend Drop-down for Custom Format (ORG-7650)
Right click the graph legend and choose Update Legend... from the context menu. This opens the legendupdate dialog box. When you setthe Auto Legend Translation Mode is set to Custom, a the Legend Custom Format option is added, allowing you to choose meta-data options for customizing the legend. Note that this box allows text entry and custom entries are saved when the dialog is closed.
control now provides a drop-down populated with strings that include typical metadata elements such as worksheet name, dataset name, 1st user parameter etc, exposing user to available syntax for custom legend annotation.
