How to: 

  1. Double click the axis you want to add breaks on to open Axis Dialog.
  2. Go to X Axis/Y Axis/Z Axis: Breaks, check Enable checkbox.
  3. Set Number of Breaks. Origin support up to 7 breaks on one single axis.
  4. Specify each breaks's details in sub-nodes.

How to:

Double click the axis you want to edit to open Axis Dialog.

  • Control where axis shows:
    Go to X/YUse Only One Axis For Each Direction checkbox on the top of the dialog.
    By defualt only one axis shows in each direction. Uncheck it, extra controls for each axis will show.

  • Show Axis dropdown list on X Axis/Y Axis/Z Axis page
    If Use Only One Axis For Each Direction checkbox is checked, user can go toX Axis/Y Axis/Z Axis page, select and specify the position you want to show the axis by of axis in Show Axis dropdown list.
    Separate control of how ticks labels and titles rotate:
    Go to X/Y/Z Axis page, select the rotate method by Rotate dropdown list. E.g. user can specify Z axis to show on the right size instead of the left size.
  • Rotate dropdown list on X Axis/Y Axis/Z Axis page to control tick labe and title display
    This has higher priority than Plot Details: Layer Properties: Axis: Orientation of Labels & Titles & Ticks.
    Show both axis:
    Uncheck Use Only One Axis For Each Direction checkbox, and extra control interface will shown.Image Added
