Curve Arrow Tool drew a bad arrow compared with Origin2023

When using Curve Arrow tool, the curve arrow looks worse in some cases

The issue exists in Origin2023b and Origin2024, fixed in Origin2024b

Origin no longer hangs when opening Plot Details with Mini Toolbar

After making a graph and clicking axis to show Mini Toolbar, pressing F2 (to open PD) causes a hang.

Uncheck Selectable failed to prohibit a plot from being selected

For certain projects, it always selects the specified plot, and Uncheck Selectable button fails

Rescale Colormap Issue Fixed in Grouped Heatmap

1. Fill column A~C with row number, fill column D with random data

2. Designate C and D as Z data, then plot Heatmap with Split Tiles

3. Open PD, go to group tab, and set group edit mode to independent

4. Go to color map tab of 2nd plot, click Level column header, click find min/max ==> Nothing happens.

Fixed in Origin2024b.

When edit mode is independent, it now finds min/max of the selected plot, not the group.

Similarly, if edit mode is independent, the Mini Toolbar’s rescale button rescales to just the selected plot.

ORG-28090

Group plot auto added error bars after being set to independent

1. make 3D bars plot with XYZXYZ data

2. open PD dialog, select the first plot, go to error bar tab, set Z error data as col(a), click apply

3. go to group tab, select independent, click OK
   ==> the second plot has error bar

ORG-28089

Could not change pattern color for special point of 3D bars

1. make XYY 3D bars plot

2. add one special point, open PD dialog for it

3. go to pattern tab, set fill pattern to sparse, color to black, click apply

==> pattern color is not black

4. change pattern color to yellow, click OK

==> pattern color does not update

1. make XYY 3D bars plot

2. add one special point, open PD dialog, go to pattern tab, add pattern, pattern color is auto, set border color to green, click apply

3. select the plot in the left panel, add pattern, click OK
   ==> the pattern color of the special point is changed

ORG-27070

By Plots Tab Now Supports ‘by Column Label’

1. new wks with XYYY, set long name as aa 1 2 3, fill with row numbers

2. highlight all, make 4 panel plot

3. open PD dialog, go to layer background, set color to by layers: long name, click apply

4. click the color button again, set to color mapping, click apply

5. go to colormap tab,
   ==> level is from -2 to 2

ORG-28243

Hiding a single point now hides corresponding error bars

Hold Ctrl key and double click a column/bar allows user to customize or turn off the column/bar. But it couldn’t hide the corresponding error bar there.

Graph objects showed as bold when inserting graph to 3D graph

1. Open the sample opj, Area Graphs - XPS Area, or use P1’s opju

2. Create a 3d OpenGL graph like waterfall from the worksheet data

3. Copy page of the 2d graph and paste it to the 3d waterfall

==> Texts are still a little bold, check in dark mode. There is white background

Point by Point legend was used if the XYY bar used a shape that is not prism/box

1. fill column with row number, plot xyy bar

2. open PD, set shape to Cylinder or other shape that is no Prism/box, ok

3. reconstruct legend ==> legend become point by point legend

ORG-28260

Layer.group1.allcols=1 failed to work if first Y column got deleted

LabTalk property Layer.group1.allcols=1 is used to set up a graph, created by plotting all columns in a worksheet, to auto add and remove plots when new columns are added, or existing columns are deleted in worksheet.

But this stops working if 1st Y column is deleted in worksheet.

Fixed in Origin 2024b.

ORG-28543

Origin crash fixed when resizing table

1. open attach file crash.opju, in which the graph window has table outside of graph page.

resize graph page width slowly, when the page's right edge nears the table’s left edge.

==>Origin crash.

ORG-28565

Improvements made for Fill Color in 3D Waterfall Plots using Independent Mode

1. Open Waterfall Plots - 3D Waterfall with Line and Scatter from Learning Center (any 3D waterfall should be the same)

2. In the Group tab of the PD dialog, set Edit Mode to be Independent.

3. In the Pattern tab, set Fill Color to be None. Click Apply button.

==> Fill Color of all curves on graph are changed to be None

4. Switch to the second plot in the left panel

==> The Fill Color in Pattern tab is still FAFAFA

5. Change the Fill Color to be black, click Apply button.

==>Fill color of the second plot on graph won’t change; remains ‘None’

ORG-28358

Hit test failed on certain 3D XYY bar plot

Hit test failed on certain 3D OpenGL colormap surface plot

graphic card: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 770, 4.6.0 - Build 31.0.101.4575

1.New a project, open attached “3D Bar Charts - 3D XYY Cylinders.opju“

2.Mouse over any Cylinder bar on graph.

==> data point tooltip showed.

3.Single click on it.

==> Z axis line is selected and axis MT showed.

4.double click on it.

==>Axis dialog opened.
