3D surface failed to rescale after setting Custom Boundary

1. Open the attached ORG30072-P1.ogwu.

2. Plot first 3 columns as 3D surface.

3. Open PD and go to Contouring Info tab, set Col(D) and col(E) as custom boundary.

4. Click OK
   ==> The surface has been clipped by boundary, but the original axis scale kept; and the color fill level don’t change too, Even clicking Find Min&Max in Set Levels dialog, Form and To won’t change.

Distribution curve’s begin of box plot and histogram plot are different

1. With a column filling with number from -1 to 2, make a histogram

2. Set X Axis from -2 to 2.

3. Double click at the plot to open Plot Details, then go to Distribution tab, set Curve Type = Kernel Smooth and click OK.

4. Make a box chart with the same data, then exchange X-Y axes

5. Set X Axis from -2 to 2.

6. Double click at the plot to open Plot Details, then go to Distribution tab, set Curve Type = Kernel Smooth and click OK. ==> distribution curve’s begin of box plot and histogram plot are different

Now in Origin2026, the two plot’s distribution curves are the same. You can set @SDC=0 to disable the change.

Failure to customize a single error bar’s direction

1. New a worksheet and set columns A, B, C to row numbers.

2. Set colC column designation to Y-error.

3. Highlight columns A to C and create a line + symbol chart.

4. Ctrl+ double-click any error bar to create a special point.

5. In the PD of the special point, uncheck Directions and uncheck Plus.

6. Click Apply
   ==> Error bar still show both directions.

3. In the output sheet, double click the graph to pop it up, change for example the layer color to be Gray.

4. Save the graph as template for example mygbox.

5. Activate back source sheet “Categorical Data”, highlight col(B), select Plot menu - User Templates - mygbox.

P1.A ==> a normal box plot graph was created directly, which should open XF dialog.

6.Activate back source sheet, open Template Library, select mygbox, click Plot button.

P1.B ==> a normal box plot graph was created directly, which should open XF dialog.

1. New a project with 4 cols, fill with random numbers. Highlight all to create a box plot.

2. Open PD, on plot level, Group tab, check “By Column Label” in Subgrouping group,
   then set Column Label as Comments, click OK.

3. On Object Manager, right click on last plot and select “Move out of Group”.

4. double click the last plot to open PD, go to Box tab, set X Position as Units, click OK.

4. Then in the worksheet, change data value to 0 in row 32 of Column C.

Scientific Notation for Color Scale wrong

1. There is color scale, whose levels are set to Min/Max of -0.00396/0.00396 at 8 levels, which is an increment of 9.9E-4. The labels are set to display Scientific Notation.
   ==>The colorscale rounds up this major level value to 10x10^-4 which is incorrect because this is not proper scientific notation. It should be 1x10^-3.

2. Change the min/max to -0.004/0.004
   -->No issue, the level label is correctly set to 1x10^-3.

Alignment and Line Spacing for wrapped text does not work for middle row in the axis table

1. Make an indexed column plot

2. Make sure axis tick labels show as multiple rows table.

4. Set Wrap Text to By Number of Characters, wrap number of width as 4, alignment as left and click OK. ==>The Alignment and Line Spacing turned back to Auto automatically. The settings can not be kept or set

Run -xfm <XFunctionName> is used open tools which doesn’t support Labtalk access.

But before Origin 2026, it was case sensitive. User must type the exact X-Function name.

E.g. using Statistics on Columns tool. The X-Function Name is DescStats.

• run -xfm DescStats; //dialog opens.

• run -xfm descstats; //no dialog opens.

Fixed a startup crash that occurred on certain machines when Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable v14.50.35710 (for Visual Studio 2017–2026) was present. The issue affected Origin versions 2024b, 2025, and 2025b, and has been fully resolved in Origin 2026.
