ORG-25146

Plot style lost when switching between Line, Line Symbol and Scatter types

For basic plot types: Line, Scatter and Line+Symbol, user can change plot type in Plot Details dialog. When changing plot type, some customization on plot is lost. We tried to keep as many properties as possible.

Note: Instead of changing plot type in Plot Details dialog, user can click Line, Scatter, Line+Symbol toolbar buttons on bottom of workspace to switch plot types as well. But sometimes plot styles lost as well, e.g. line style, dropline, fill color gone.

Crash when using context menu to ungroup multiple groups in Object manager

If selecting multiple groups, e.g. Ctrl+ select g1 and g2 node in Object manager.

Speed Issue of parallel plot with large data

Make parallel plot is very slow if it is with more than 50000 rows of data. And it is also slowly when you click or export the graph window.

In Origin2023, we add @PPCP=1000. It will be faster than old version. @PPSFP=10000, it will automatically close select feedback when number of lines are over 10000.

Open the attached project Leo_Yau_Contour_Labels_Reposition_MT.opju.

→ The contour plot is labeled and some labels overlap.

Click the layer-level MT and click the Reposition Labels toolbar button.

→ The labels are properly repositioned so there is no overlap.

Click File: Export Graph and export (e.g. as PNG file).

Open the PNG file and note that the labels

==> which were repositioned, have reverted to their original condition and they now overlap (see attached PNG file Leo_label_reposition_test.png for comparison).

Reopen the opju, press F5 to refresh.

==> more contour label showed.

Reopen the opju, duplciate the graph.

==> more contour label showed on the duplicated window.

1. make project file which has two folders and there is one graph in each folder.

→ The text object in the graph refers to the folder name using %@F. So they are different.

Sort worksheet based on column with duplicate values

Old bug since at least Origin 6.1

When sorting worksheet based on a column with many duplicate values, the sorting order in other columns may not follow the appearance order.

See column B’s result. Origin 2023 follows the appearance order. Earlier version shows those values in random order.

System variable added @WSA=1 (default). Set it to 0 to roll back to old behavior.

Reduce/Combine Duplicated Rows issues on numeric reference column

When reducing/combining duplicated rows by multiple reference columns with numeric values, the 2nd reference column and on were calculated,

Use the Mini Toolbar buttons, Rotate Clockwise and Rotate Counter-Clockwise to rotate the image back and forth 10 - 20 times.

==> Note that as the image is rotated, the image becomes fuzzier; the more that you rotate it (eventually becomes very blurred).

Histogram X scale issue in Statistics on Columns

In Origin 2022b and earlier version, it always sets straight X axis link for histograms in Statistics on Columns.

In Origin 2023, it changes not to set Straight (1 to 1) X Axis Link when “Automatic Binning“ is checked because “Automatic Binning“ means that each column uses its own setting and they may vary a lot.

While it sets Straight option when “Automatic Binning“ is unchecked.

In Origin 2015-2022b, Missing value in group column will be ignored by default(@CATS=4).

In Origin 2023, @CATS=2, it will fix this issue.

Don't generate loose dataset when copy folder in same session

1. Suppose in Folder1, Graph1 plotted by Book1.

2. New a Folder2, then drag Graph1 to Folder2,

3. Copy Folder2, then go to root folder and paste.

==>In the Folder2 2, the Graph1A Legend and axis titles show as Book1A(Loose dataset), which should be the same as Graph1, plotting data from Book1.

In some laptops with an integrated display card and an individual display card. Double clicking to open OPJ always uses as integrated display card.

Cell formula label row in summary sheet failed to be kept after batch processing

If adding cell formula label row to summary sheet, such as mean(this), after do batch processing, In new created summary sheet, the cell formula will not be kept,but use fixed value instead.
