ORG-24516

Origin crashes if hold SHIFT key when moving Curve Translate Line

The bug was introduced in Origin 2021.

With graph window active, choose Gadget: Curve Translate.

Press SHIFT key while drag the plot.

==> Origin crashes.

ORG-23652

Transparency could not work after switch symbol shape for bubble plot

The bug was introduced in Origin 2020b.

Make a bubble plot. Change Symbol shape to solid circle and click OK.

==> transparence fail to work.

ORG-24549

New plot highlight mode fails to fade plot

The bug was introduced in Origin2022.

Make a group line plot, click edge of the graph to open page mini toolbar, click Highlight Plot when Mouse Over button, mouse over the plot.

==> Fails to fade plot, you can see selection updated in Object Manager

ORG-24543

Pattern color not work for geology pattern with non-solid line style

The bug was introduced in Origin 2022.

Set Column plot’s border style as dash. Set Fill Pattern as Geology, say 601 or 606. Change Pattern color to blue. Click Apply.
==> Pattern color fails to change although preview change.

ORG-24661

German Origin crash when mousing over User-defined symbol area of Graph tab in Preferences: Options dialog

This is a German only crash in Origin 2022.

Choose Preferences: Options menu.

Go to Graph tab.

Mouse over the big User-defined Symbols box.

==> Crash.

Workaround: Set Help: Change Language to change Origin to English to create user-defined symbols. Then switch language back to German to use the created symbols.

Or copy image to clipboard and choose the user-defined symbol on clipboard in Plot Details dialog.

As long as you don’t mouse over the control in Options dialog in German Origin, it’s fine.

Diff scale if image window in diff size

Adjust the image window’s size the set scale.

==> The scale changes.

ORG-24537

Saving project issue with new image window

Insert images from files to worksheet cell. Double click to edit in the image window then save and reopen project.

==> The change in image is not saved.

Image Info bar Not Updated on image shape changes.

Import image then change it’s shape, for example: rotate or resize the image.

==> The dimension in information bar is not updated.

Graph layer's XY Unit is gone after embed image

Plot image and image’s unit will be applied to graph layer’s X/Y unit. If embed image to graph.

==> Graph layer’s XY unit is gone.

Randomly not responding when importing multiple image files

Occasionally, importing multiple images files may make Origin not responding.

Cell formula became absolute range after duplicate sheet

New bug in Origin 2022.

Enter the following in column A of a sheet and then duplicate the sheet or duplicate the sheet without data. The formula points to the original sheet.

Insert Note menu in column label cell fails to work

New bug in Origin 2022.

Right-click on a column label cell, choose the “Insert Notes” context menu.

==> Fails to insert note in the cell.

Workaround: Choose the cell, run “insertnotes;“ in Script Window.

"Preset Result Sheet Name" option in Split Worksheet does not work

In Split Worksheet tool, when split mode is By Reference Columns, an edit box Preset Result Sheet Name is provided to set result sheet name. Now when you pick the sample item like “%V” from the right-triangle button, will find it does not work in Origin 2022.

Make a scatter plot, run script like below

Origin crashes when saving old *.opj format project file with new image window

If there is inserted image in your project, please save it as OPJU.

Command Window appears undocked after pressing Alt+3

When command window is docking and in auto-hide mode, press Alt + 3 to show it will wrongly make it becomes floating in Origin 2022.

APPS-910

Graph Publisher v 3.5 is failing on 2022, 2021b…..cannot apply page size, shows error.

When edit button in detail of Graph Publisher is not set, error message would show: Empty Value, Minimum Size.

The APP is updated to v3.6

ORG-24043

GDI Objects Leaks

This is introduced in Origin 2022 and exist in Origin 2022b as well.

It will be fixed in Origin 2023 (not released yet).

There are GDI object leaks when

• Open Notes window

• Use color well (big leak)

• Open Code Builder and close

• Resize workbook which contains EMF graph cell

Open Task Manager and show GDI objects column in processes tab or Details tab to watch the increase. If it reaches 5000, and you open any project file (opju), you will get message about too many windows in current folder even if this isn’t true.
