Analysis Template File get Growing up when do batch processing

This bug was introduced since Origin2019 which Origin save Batch Processing dialog settings into analysis template by default when do batch processing.unfortunately, some unnecessary range was also saved. and it may caused origin crashes or hang on when file size is very big.

it is fixed in Origin2020. file size will be decreased after resaving dialog settings into analysis template.

Sampling interval is lost in the summary report of Batch Processing

if the Result Sheet contains Sampling interval in analysis template, origin will also copy it to Summary report sheet when do batch processing with Append result by columns now.

note: append by rows will not be supported.

This bug was introduced since Origin 2018b.

Steps to see the issue:

1. Select multiple data and open Nonlinear Curve Fit dialog.

2. Pick a fitting function.

3. Set Multi-Data Fit Mode as Global Fit.

4. Go to Parameters tab, check fix checkbox on some parameters.

5. Click Fit button.

==> Origin not responding or crashes

Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (hcluster) fails to highlight source rows

Fixed in Origin2020.

1.Prepare a worksheet with a few columns filled with random data
2.Select all columns and run hcluster from Statistics / Multivariate Analysis / Hierarchical Cluster Analysis
3.Click OK
4.Go to the first output sheet (Cluster1) sheet and double click on the Dendrogram plot to open up the graph
5.Go to the input sheet (Sheet1)
6.Add one column to the input sheet (Sheet1), fill with some texts
7.Click on the lock icon, select Change Parameters
8.Select the last added text column as the Observation Labels
9.Test the Data Highlighter tool again
==> Origin fails to highlight anything.

1. save xlsx file on local PC, open the file outside Origin, copy some cells

2. go to Origin workbook, right click in the cell and paste link, save project.

4. in Excel, modify some value, save and close Excel

5. in Origin, reopen the OPJU file
   --> Attention dialog pops up

6. click Yes

   --> Excel file is opened

1. Search XYZ Heatmap with Start menu, select 1st sample opj

2. in worksheet, uncheck set as categorical for column A

3. open column property dialog, set format to date, display to 2019, ok

4. select xyz column to plot heatmap, ok with default settings

5. double click x axis to open axis dialog
   ==> from to do not show date format control

6. go to tick label tab
   ==>tick label type is numeric, should be date type, since x column of heatmap is date.

Fixed in Origin2020.
